Presbyterian Women
The Presbyterian Women’s group at KPC meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month from September to November and from January to March at 7.30pm in the Anderson Hall. PW provides the opportunity for women of all ages and stages of life to come together to grow in their faith and enjoy fellowship.
Being Transformed is the theme for the current year and is based on Romans 12:2 –
‘Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will’.
To be transformed is the essence of our journey with Christ. This is a journey like no other and one which should lead us, as followers of Christ, to become more like Him in everything we do.
In addition to the evening meetings, other day-time outings are arranged, including visits to coffee shops. A recent full-day outing was a great success when twenty ladies travelled by coach to Clontibret for a wonderful Flower Festival at the Presbyterian Church, shopping at the Linen Green in Dungannon and finishing off the day with dinner at Rockmount Golf Club.
Our group has been successful in raising funds to help support the work of the PCI Council of Mission in Ireland and the Council for Global Mission. Charlene’s Project, the outreach of South Belfast Friendship House into Sandy Row and The Vine, Crumlin Road, has been specifically supported by Killinchy PW.
